SOUTH VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Eligible applicants: Graduating South Valley High School females continuing their education at a vocational / trade school or certificate program or internship program. Funds for this scholarship were a gift made possible by a generous donation from the Liberty Family, in memory of their beloved Mother and Grandmother, Corinne Liberty, who was a member of Soroptimist International of Ukiah in the 1990's.  We are most appreciative of the Liberty Family's generosity.  

ACADEMIC
Eligible applicants: Graduating high school seniors. Based on academic achievement.
This scholarship is given in memory of Carrie Minkler. Carrie joined Soroptimist International of Ukiah in 1960. She was a Life Member when she passed away in 1999. Carrie spent time in the Military and then worked for the County of Mendocino Social Services Department

VOCATIONAL / COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Eligible applicants: Graduating high school seniors continuing their education at a community college or vocational school.
This scholarship is given in memory of Vivian Martin. Vivian was a charter member of Soroptimist International of Ukiah, chartered on June 4, 1949. Her husband was a Captain for the Ukiah Fire Department. Vivian was the first person to chair the Ukiah Valley Christmas Effort.

LAW ENFORCEMENT / PUBLIC SAFETY
Eligible applicants: College Students or graduating high school seniors continuing their education in Law Enforcement / Public Safety, e.g. emergency medical services, fire sciences, etc.
This scholarship is given in memory of Shirley Grover. Created in 1997 by then President Jessica Kimball as her President's Project. Shirley became a member of Soroptimist International of Ukiah in 1976. She retired from the City of Ukiah Police Department in 1995 after 37 years of service. Shirley passed away in 2011. Shirley had a heart of gold, dedicating her time and money to many non-profit organizations.

Students who are enrolled in the Ukiah Adult School Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
